Frequently Asked Questions
How do care teams get started?
Staff onboarding takes under an hour! We have digital learning resources and dedicated account managers who meet with staff remotely or in-person to ensure they are set-up for success.
How do patients get started?
WEconnect members can get started in the app in just 10 minutes. If someone needs extra help, WEconnect peer recovery support specialists can help members setup accounts over text, phone, or in person.
What sets WEconnect Health apart from other solutions available?
WEconnect’s engagement and results are greater than any other digital solution. WEconnect couples strong technology with peer recovery support specialists who assist patients in real time by developing comprehensive recovery plans to keep members in long-term recovery.
Is WEconnect's technology HIPAA-compliant?
Yes. We take privacy very seriously and maintain HIPAA compliant standards.
How do you ensure patients are staying on track with their recovery plan?
WEconnect utilizes GPS-location verification to ensure check-ins are validated. It's only possible to check in to routines if a member is in the right place at the right time. All member activity is visible on backend dashboards and improper use is identified as a signal for a care team to intervene.
How are your peer recovery support specialists certified?
WEconnect peer recovery support specialists have either a state recognized certification or a national credential. Requirements for obtaining a credential varies by state but typically requires 20-100 hours of peer work signed off on by a supervisor, personal or lived recovery experience, and a test demonstrating knowledge of recovery, treatment and ethical boundaries. In addition to personal recovery experience, the PRSS team is also trained in Recovery Management, Education and Advocacy, Professional Ethics and Responsibility, and Confidentiality.
