What sets WEconnect Health apart from other solutions available?
WEconnect’s engagement and results are greater than any other digital solution. WEconnect couples strong technology with peer recovery support specialists who assist patients in real time by developing comprehensive recovery plans to keep members in long-term recovery.
Is WEconnect's technology HIPAA-compliant?
Yes. We take privacy very seriously and maintain HIPAA compliant standards.
How do you ensure patients are staying on track with their recovery plan?
WEconnect utilizes GPS location verification and URL verification to validate routine check-ins. It's only possible to check into routines if a member is in the right place at the right time. All member activity is visible on back-end dashboards, so improper use of the app signals a care team to intervene.
How are your peer recovery support specialists certified?
WEconnect peer recovery support specialists (PRSS) have either a state-recognized certification or a national credential. Peers are also encouraged to become NAADAC-certified within 6 months of hire. Requirements for obtaining a credential varies by state, but typically requires:
20-100 hours of peer work, signed off on by a supervisor
Personal or lived recovery experience
Passing score on a test demonstrating knowledge of recovery, treatment, and ethical boundaries
Every member of our PRSS team is trained in recovery management, education, and advocacy, professional ethics and responsibility, and confidentiality.

How long does the rewards program last?

03. Health Plan Inquiries
Why are rewards so effective for Substance Use Disorder?
Contingency management, the proven technique behind our incentive-based program, has been shown to be the single-most effective standalone method for substance use disorder. Rewards provide an incentive and keep patients highly engaged in their recovery plan. Keeping patients in long-term recovery reduces emergency department stays and readmissions over time. As a quality improvement activity, WEconnect helps drive a healthy medical loss ratio (MLR).
How do you improve social determinants of health?
WEconnect Health supports patient wellness by providing them with the opportunity to earn digital gift cards for adhering to their care plan. By staying accountable to their recovery, they earn rewards. Patients can leverage these rewards to support their social determinants of health.
Can WEconnect integrate with Electronic Health Records (EHR)?
Yes! WEconnect leverages several methods by which EHR/EMR integration is possible.
04. Provider Inquiries
How do care teams get started?
Staff onboarding takes under an hour! We have digital learning resources and dedicated account managers who meet with staff to ensure they are set-up for success.

06. Support Meeting Inquiries
What can I expect at these meetings?
These online all recovery meetings are very similar to in-person open recovery meetings. People can join from anywhere and either listen, share, or both. Participants are often in recovery, but may also be allies of the recovery community or family members and loved ones of individuals in recovery.
How can I verify meeting attendance?
To request meeting attendance verification, please fill out our meeting verification form. Verification will be provided to you automatically via email after submitting the form.
When are the meetings offered?
We are currently hosting meetings daily at 7am, 9am, 12pm, 3pm, 6pm, 9pm, and 11pm ET. There is a daily meeting for family and loved ones at 8pm ET, a twice weekly women's meeting on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7pm ET, and a twice weekly LGBTQ+ meeting on Mondays at 7pm ET and Wednesdays at 11am ET. We may also add additional meeting times in the future as capacity needs grow. As meetings continue to get cancelled, please share this information with your networks and keep coming back.
How do I share on the meeting?
If you would like to share, you can click “participants” and then the blue “raise hand” button and it will let the facilitator know you would like to share.
Are these meetings recorded?
To respect privacy, we do not allow meetings to be recorded by any attendee or facilitator. It is possible that screenshots of a screen may be taken however, just as if an attendee took a picture at an in-person meeting. We do encourage all attendees to not take screenshots to be respectful.
07. Job Applicant Inquiries
Is everyone at WEconnect in recovery/sober?
No! WEconnect includes a diverse team of technologists, healthcare, science, and business experts, as well as those with firsthand knowledge of recovery.
What should I expect during the application process?
We generally conduct one or two video call meetings, then we may have you meet members of the team you'll be working with most. Giving you the opportunity to meet with teammates from various functions (product, engineering, design, etc.) is also a possibility. You may be asked to do a take-home “assessment” prior to your interview. For software development roles, we ask you to complete a take-home exercise to showcase your skills. You will expand upon this exercise during your interview, so please be prepared to discuss that and for the possibility of some virtual whiteboarding as well.
What is your tech stack and do I need prior experience with it?
Our mobile front end is built with React Native and Typescript; our web front end is written in Typescript and React. Our back end consists of node.js hosted on Heroku and supported by PostgreSQL.". We don't require experience with all of these technologies, but expect fluency in a couple. We do need you to be comfortable contributing in a Typescript environment.
I’d like to apply but don’t see a relevant job opening. What should I do?
We're always on the look out for hardworking, talented people with a growth mindset to become teammates. If you don't see an open position that directly aligns with your current experience, feel free to submit a general application here.
