Lorrin Gehring is a passionate leader and advocate. In her career, Lorrin has served as a peer, director, case manager, resource specialist, social marketer, and teacher. In each of these roles, she’s advocated for individuals to have their voice heard and choice known—within their own lives as well as in the systems that serve them. Lorrin specializes in workforce and program development, peer support and implementation, coaching/mentoring, and adaptive leadership. As an ambassador of hope and recovery, Lorrin has a demonstrated history of working in the behavioral health field to promote System of Care values and create innovative solutions to complex challenges. Lorrin has authored numerous articles on youth involvement, and was the 2011 Voice Award recipient for excellence in the field of youth advocacy, the 2012 Marlene Matarese Advocate for Youth Rockstar awardee, and most recently, the 2019 Innovative Treatment Solutions Coach of the Year. Currently, Lorrin is privileged to act in a Peer Recovery Support Specialist role at WEconnect. Her favorite color is green and she is an award-winning karaoke singer, proudly and passionately holding a first place award for “best worst karaoke performance.”
